I found this short fanfic about Harry/Hermione, for what I could gathered from the reviews it sounds like a nice little story.
I decided to post it before reading it, in the hopes that we can read it together.
Please leave your comments and thoughts, and if you find a better fanfic please let me know

PotterWatch #1 - Harry/Hermione Ship.
I thought it's always nice to start from the basics, and I think ships are one of the most basic components of the HP books. Now, keeping in mind that we are trying to go beyond the books, not necessarily in the sense of what happens after the ending, but rather on the realms of fanfic, I would like to start a debate about whether this couple would've worked or not.
Has it ever occurred to anyone while reading any of the books, if it was possible that J.K. Rowling left open spaces for an H/ Hr relationship to happened if she so decide to? I felt she did it very subtle through the series but never as strong as in book 7.
I am not a big fan of the H/Hr ship, and since CoS I had the feeling Harry and Ginny were going to hook up and that Ron and Hermione were made for each other. Yet, as I was reading the 7th book, for a moment I truly believed that Harry and Hermione were going to be more than friends. I mean, I can’t imagine what kind of 17-year-olds spend countless weeks camping together, alone, confused, being chase by the law, with the possibility of losing their lives around the corner, extremely lonely, and in an incredible emotional state of distress as they venture in their pasts, and not turning on each other for some sort of comfort, which could perfectly be of a physical nature.
“The instant they arrived, Hermione dropped Harry’s hand and walked away from him… her face on her knees, shaking with what he knew were sobs. He watched her, supposing that he ought to go and comfort her, but something kept him rooted to the spot. Everything inside felt cold and tight: Again he saw the contemptuous expression on Ron’s face.”
Could it be possible that after Ron had left them both, they felt betrayed and rejected by him? At the end of the previous chapter Ron, voices his concerns and abandons his friends. Hermione chases after him and begs him to stay, yet he leaves. Being the more emotional mature of the three, Hermione has an unspoken understanding with Ron about their feelings, and she knows he knows. Ron leaving is not a betrayal to their friendship to Harry, but to a pact that Ron and Hermione had made to follow Harry, and moreover is a sign that her love is not strong enough to keep him with her. If we were to take this a step further Ron’s abandonment show his lack of character as a man, his selfishness, and poor judgment, and this might have destroyed some of the appeal that Hermione finds on him.
In the other hand we have Harry, which first and foremost is a young man with a great need to feel loved and for some kind of closeness. His best friend has voiced the very things he fears about himself, had deserted him and failed to trust him, just like most of the people surrounding his life. In his situation, he has only Hermione left. He doesn’t know if he ever will be back to a normal life and be with Ginny, or if he will survive his ordeal. Yet Hermione stands by his side even when her “love” left. Is it safe to assume Harry didn’t think about all these things? And he didn’t feel fearful about dying alone?
I think any young man his age or any age would turn to his only female companion, his beloved friend, and apparently the only person who has loved him enough to be with him to the end, to find some kind of meaning to his life before facing the horrors ahead of him.
You might think that Harry was an extraordinary young man, that would never do such a thing, but I think J.K. Rowling really put Harry’s moral fiber to the test.
I will continue this topic tomorrow as it’s nearly 2:30am. I’ll pull some more passage from the 7th book, where I could have sworn Harry and Hermione were going to kiss. Also I’ll try to end my argument by posting links to some fanfics and some fan art.
Until then, please post any form of art inspire by the idea of Harry and Hermione being a couple. Everything is welcome, from fanfics, to illustration, to video and music. If you want to email me on this subject, my address is potter_watch@hotmail.com.
